Who we are:

Itscool2care supports creative compassionate youth who are looking for a way to make a difference today. 
Kids of all ages collaborate with adult volunteers and local businesses to facilitate their service projects.
Problem solving and management skills are cultivated as the youth lead the project and event planning. 
Driven by their vision and desire to improve their environments, itscool2care kids inspire and
connect their community in a variety of ways.  To date itscool2care has donated to Toys for Tots,
End Hunger, Houston Area Women's Center, Trees for Houston, and has an ongoing collaboration with
Friends for Life Animal Shelter and Sanctuary.  
We will soon be operating out of Friends for Life Compassion in Action Center
in their new facility on 19th street in the Houston Heights.

What's Next:
Itscool2care kids are currently planning an awareness event for Earth Day 09. 
The youth identified a need for a collection of vegetarian recipes and nutrition advice
for the growing number of kids reducing or eliminating their meat consumption for the benefit of animal
and environmental welfare.  The cookbook will be sold during a festival with restaurant vendors, themed artwork,
and presentations by Friends for Life, itscool2care and ENVI (environments need vast improvement)
youth project leaders. The project leaders have job descriptions and tasks for every
level of participation, from one hour one time, to ongoing commitments of 2-3 hours a week.

Web-based Information Sharing

Collecting and organizing tips for daily decision-making, monthly targeted donation drives,
and family activities that make a positive impact.

Local Non-Profit Youth Program Development

Linking youth with non-profit organizations by assisting in the development of youth programs including
web design, classroom education tools, events and volunteer opportunities for mission specific involvement
for individuals 18 and under,

Youth Project Support

Assisting individuals and groups with project management
and networking resources for youth based service projects.
