| Project Description:
Ideally this event will take place where different socioeconomic groups
can benefit from pet wash and humane education. We can take
donations for dog washing and provide leashes, collars and flyers on
different pet care advice. We would also like to spread the word
about Friends for Life and the nokill movement in Houston. |
| Material
Requests: Dog Shampoo, Leashes, Collars, Identification Tags,
Buckets, Sponges, Towels, Temporary fencing, Legal Waivers |
| Resource
Requests: Facility (Pet supply/training store-or at the
minimum a business with a parking lot and hose bib), Dog Washers, Flyer
distributers and other advertising/marketing assistance, FFL adoption
volunteers/foster animals. |
| Event
Planning Requests: We need a legal advisor to draft a
waiver alerting volunteers, foster animals and public that
itscool2care, friends for life and any other organization or individual
involved in the event is not responsible for any injury (pet or person)
and that the pet owner is responsible for safely securing his/her pet
during the process....and any other legal advice/content. |
| about the organizer: ENVI is a
small group of individuals seeking to improve all environments.
Currently there are 15 members with groups forming in various high
schools in the Houston area. Their interests and project ideas
are widespread. Look for other project proposals and
opportunities coming soon. "From helping animals to picking up
trash, we want to help the community as much as possible and show them
that we are the future!" |
| about the benefactor: Who are
we? A dynamic 6 year old non-profit made up of veterinarians, lawyers,
business people, architects, physicians, educators and trained shelter
staff committed to offering Houston a real alternative to shelters that
kill homeless animals. What are we doing? This visionary non-profit has
saved hundreds of animals through our innovative adoption, rescue,
rehabilitation, pet retention and animal food bank programs. Where are
we? PetSmart Adoption Center at 2902 S. Shepherd at the corner of W.
Alabama Adoption hours are 5:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
